‘A clean, cheerful and beautiful surrounding gives a healthy environment of learning’, Mr. Ajay Kumar of Composite School, Behlolpur, Machhar, Meerut also believes this and decided to change the outlook of his school and give it a modern, learningfull look.

Under the guidance of Head Master, Shri Krishan Verma and support of all the teachers, Mr. Ajay Kumar bear the responsibility of transforming school. Because of this team work and efforts, a ruined school turned into a beautiful and blissful work place. Learning become more joyful in this environment.

Team Work

Any big work is not possible without team work and societal support. For this transformation process, Gram Sachiv Priyanka Yadav donated her one month salary through which school did the work of painting and renovation.

Gram Pradhan, Shri Arun Kumar also supported a lot in this work. He build boundary walls, provided washrooms and hand wash areas to school. Apart from this staff members – Ajay Kumar (A.T.), Gulsharan Singh (A.T.), Ms. Sunita Siddhu (A.T.), Dhaniram (AT), Gulab singh(A.T.),  Intzar Ali (A.T.), Ms. Reema (S.M.) and others contributed ₹5,000 each along with Head Master – Shri Krishan Verma and prepared a beautiful garden having various flowers and plants for school. This way everyone contributed in this transformation process.

“Everyone can see the problems but only few go for finding solutions”, Ajay Kumar is the one. And if you are working for a right cause, you are never alone. You just need to give a start. This start also got full support from officials, teachers and villagers. People of the village also support school in this initiative. They water the plants, take care of garden and ensures security of school.

Transformation

Today school have very beautiful and innovative classrooms having a name (Name of historic figures), with LED lights, fans, benches, table and black board in it. This infrastructure provide a better learning atmosphere. School also has two water filters and clean washrooms to ensure hygiene of students and developing the habit of cleanliness. Various plants, flowers and garden are main attraction of school. Different people now approaching school for knowing their planning and way of working of how they developed this garden in school.

Old closed rooms are opened and decorated beautifully with various basic learning modules, pictures of freedom fighters and educationalists on it. In junior classes there are wall painting which help students in making tables, doing simple maths, learning Hindi and English alphabet. School library is also renovated so that students can have access to various books. Every wall painting have a motive to conclude to students. Not only beautification but learning is also ensured in this whole process.

Vision

This initiative is taken with the view of bringing more students to the school and giving them a beautiful  learning atmosphere. This transformation of school will ensure safety to students in school, develop attachment towards school and increase their attendance and enrollment in school.

This vision of transforming school is developed in last one year only. Before that school was in a terrible condition. And it’s effects are now visible as well. This year even after lock down, school got new enrollments in large number. This is showing growing interest of people in government schools and success of schools’ efforts towards transformation.

For this work Ajay Kumar himself spent ₹2 Lakh. Most of the time he stay in school and regulate all work. It is his dedication towards school that today everybody is praising his work. “Giving one year to school is not a big deal”, He said, when asked about his passion of working.

No doubt quality of education is the most important aspect of a school, but it is not the only aspect. For bringing young children’s interest in studies and keeping them interested in studies a good surrounding atmosphere is must. Composite School, Behlolpur is providing that. Efforts of all teachers and society, fully transformed the school.
