Gullak Dialogue

India is home to over One Million Public Schools and more than 130 million students who attend these schools. While the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023 and New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 call for entrepreneurship and innovation, structured entrepreneurship activities remain largely absent in most public schools.
School students hold immense potential as innovators and problem-solvers. Despite diverse initiatives aimed at enhancing these attributes, skill and knowledge-building towards entrepreneurship remain largely untouched. This presents us with an opportunity to address this crucial gap by embedding entrepreneurship education within the curriculum to foster natural, practical creativity in children. With this summit, we invite you to be part of a curated group of policy-makers, educators, social leaders, students and other key stakeholders to explore how :

  1. Schools can become springboards for practical creativity and innovation, using entrepreneurship as
    both method and mindset.
  2. Showcase best practices and ground realities from NGOs, educators, and community leaders driving
    classroom innovation.
  3. Bridge ambition and implementation by ideating practical tools, partnerships, and collaborations to
help schools turn policy into action.

Insights from this summit will guide the development of an implementable model, which will be pitched to policymakers for adoption.
